Acceptance of government-offered compensation for last year's supplemental health insurance price regulation

The Triglav Group accepts the Slovenian Ministry of Health's EUR 11 million compensation offer made in accordance with government decree

Triglav, Zdravstvena zavarovalnica, a member of the Triglav Group, submitted a claim to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Slovenia. The claim seeks reimbursement under the Slovenian Government's 2023 decree on the price regulation of supplemental health insurance. Taking into account the interests of its stakeholders, the Triglav Group has accepted the offered compensation of nearly EUR 11 million.

Triglav, Zdravstvena zavarovalnica, a member of the Triglav Group, submitted a claim to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Slovenia seeking reimbursement, as provided for in the Decree on setting the maximum price of supplemental health insurance premium. According to the Decree, the claim must pertain to the reimbursement of the difference between the costs paid by the company to healthcare service providers (taking into account the equalisation schemes) and the insurance income from supplemental healthcare insurance during the reference period from June 2023 to December 2023.

The Ministry of Health offered to pay the Triglav Group compensation in the amount of EUR 10,996,354.91. The Group considers the agreement to be in the best interest of its stakeholders, and has therefore accepted the offer made in accordance with government decree.
